It would appear that HU senior cross country runner
Nathan Rock is in good form for the MIAC meet in two weeks.
Rock led Hamline's contingent in a talented field at the Jim Drews Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Saturday. Rock ran the 8K course in 25:45 to come in 34th place in the 333-runner field. That helped the Pipers to a 13th place finish overall among the 21 teams entered.
James Logan was the HU runner across the finish line, checking in at 50th place (26:17). He was followed by
Ronnie Stimson (95th, 17:21),
Tony Duchenes (97th, 27:24) and
Sam Jewson (104th, 27:42). Hamline totaled 380 points, besting, among others, two MIAC foes.
It was the last warmup prior to the MIAC meet Oct. 31 at Como Golf Course in St. Paul.
