Youth was, indeed, served for Hamline women's cross country team at the MIAC Conference meet October 31 at Como Golf Course.
Meg Griffin (pictured), a sophomore who has four years of eligibility, led Hamline's 10th place finish with a 24:55.7 clocking that earned her 49th place.
Brenna Kennedy, the lone senior among HU's top runners, was next across the line at 50th, less than two seconds behind Griffin (24:57.1). As has been the case nearly all season, the rest of the scorers were also close behind.
Sarissa Falk, a junior was 55th (25:05.8) with soph
Mariah Gallagher checking in at 58th (25:12.8) and freshman
Madeline Dopp finishing off the scoring at 61st (15:20.5).
Hamline totaled 273 points, just a dozen behind ninth place Augsburg. A total of 244 runners competed on a wet, chilly day. The Pipers return to next Friday at the Fall Finale at St. John's.
