Box Score Hamline pressed Luther hard early but lost a 3-0 match Friday on the first day of tournament play at the Wartburg College Invitational in Waverly, Iowa. Morgen Coleman had nine kills (good for an impressive .409  kill percentage) and chipped in 10 assists to lead HU. Jaelin Jones also had nine kills and Stephanie Maresh added eight. Megan Anderson continued her fine play on the back wall with 15 digs. 

HU came out strong, holding several leads in the first set before falling 26-24. The middle set was up for grabs until Luther bolted to a 18-11 advantage and an eventual 25-20 win. In the third set, the Norse quickly took control and went on to a 25-14 decision. 

Hamline fell to 3-17 overall. 

The Pipers face Wis-La Crosse (10:00 a.m.) and the host school (2:00 p.m.) Saturday.
