Beth Rittler has been a member of the athletic department administration since 2005 and is in her 19th year during the 2024-25 academic year. Rittler was promoted to Senior Associate Director of Athletics on July 1, 2023, after she previously held the title of Associate Director of Athletics.
In addition to her duties as a member of the Athletic Department’s senior staff, she is involved in several other areas of campus life. Rittler is a member of the university’s Title IX Committee, Staff Association (HUSA) executive board and officer (co-treasurer), Campus Operations and Service Providers Committee, and the Piper Athletic Association.
During her time at Hamline, Rittler has served as a member of the University's Budget Advisory Committee, Early Alerts Committee, Commencement Committee, HUSA executive board (2010 - 2014), Admin Cabinet (2015 - 2019, chair 2018 - 2019). She is a former member of the Financial Resources Committee for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
Prior to coming to work at Hamline, Rittler served as treasurer and assistant coach for Star Swim Club, Inc., and was also on the Board of Directors. Additionally, she worked for many years in human resources as well as operations management for a small biotechnology firm based in Arden Hills, Minn.
As a student-athlete at Hamline University, she was a four-year letter winner in swimming, winning All-MIAC and Honorable Mention honors as part of a Piper contingent that was a consistent challenger for the MIAC championship. Rittler earned four Honorable Mention All-American honors in 1987 and 1988.
The Burlington, Iowa native graduated from Hamline in 1991 with a degree in Management and a minor Psychology.
