Her season may have been over for six weeks. But Courtney Benson is still very much on the mind of the Hamline athletic community.

The senior gymnast was a double winner at the annual Honors Day event held May 4 at Anderson Center. 

Benson was named co-winner of the William Cloon award, given anually to the top female and male athletes at thge school. In addition, she won the Pat Paterson award for having the top GPA among senior female student-athletes.

Benson had been a top gymnast here all four years here. This year, she was named the senior D-III gymnast in the country at the NCGA Championships. The winner in the Floor Exercise event a year ago, she was third this year. She finished fourth in the All-Around event, earning a pair of All-America awards.
