After missing the first three games of the season as she recovered from a concussion, Erin was perfect in goal last week for the HU women's soccer team. She knocked away all 10 shots she faced in her season debut, a 3-0 win at UW-La Crosse. She handled six more last Saturday as the Pipers and Central (Iowa) battled to a 0-0 double overtime draw.
Erin now has seven career shutouts, which ties her for second on the all-time list among HU goalies.
The Pipers have not allowed a goal this season in 470 minutes of action. The five consecutive blankings is a school record. They are also one of just six teams in Division III who have not allowed a goal this season. That all figures to be tested this week when the Pipers open MIAC play against the teams coaches feel are the two best in the league -- St. Benedict and Macalester. The good news is the Pipers will see them on their home turf, Paterson Field.Â
