As one of the leading tacklers in the MIAC, soph DB Anthony Hill is no stranger to big plays. So it was no surprise that Hill was in the middle of the action last Saturday when the Pipers traveled to Minneapolis to face Augsburg in the annual battle for The Hammer.

He had 10 tackles and forced a pair of fumbles as the Pipers and Auggies headed to overtime. 

The Auugies scored to take a 27-21 lead. Then Hill made the play that turned out to be the difference. He raced around right end and blocked the extra point try that kept the margin at six. When Hamline came back with a TD and an extra point, the Pipers had a 28-27 win. HU improved to 4-5 overall. If they defeat Carleton at Klas Field this Saturday, they will finish at .500 for the first time since 1997.
