Erin Urbanowicz served notice last weekend she intends to be a force to reckon with at the MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Meet next month. The senior unleashed the Hammer 162-8 to finish second at the Carleton Relays. The throw was a personal best by an amazing 10 feet and ranks second among all MIAC performers (and 27th nationally) in this event. 

Urbanowicz and teammate Jessica Putland have been near the top of the charts in this event and the Shot Put. Urbanowicz bested her teammate by six feet last week in the Hammer. She also threw the Shot Put a season best 41 3 -3/4 to finish fifth in the event and now ranks seventh in the MIAC. (Putland is third at 44 -4 1/2). 

The talented Oregon native is already well known for her efforts as the goalie for the women's soccer team where she had three shutouts and a goals-against average of just 0.92 in 2014. 

This week, Urbanowicz can stay home and ply her trade. Hamline host the annual HU Twilight Meet Wednesday at Klas Field.
