It's been an interesting two weeks for Hamline men's soccer goalie Dean Isaacson. The freshman has been in the net for all 470 minutes of the 2015 season. After allowing four goals in the season opener against St. Scholastica, Isaacson has hardened his reserves. As a result, his goals-against number has been steadily decreasing.

On Sunday, it hit a new low -- and that's a good thing. Isaacson earned his first collegiate shutout -- and first career win -- in Hamline's 1-0 win over Grinnell at Paterson Field. Isaacson made two saves and dropped his GAA to 1.91 on the season. He has allowed just two goals in his last 290 minutes of play.

The youthful Pipers (13 freshmen on the team) stand 1-3-1 overall. They open MIAC play Wednesday against Concordia at Paterson Field. It's the nigthcap of a women's-men's doubleheader. Game time is slated for roughly 5:00 p.m.
