We already knew that Chase Duwenhoegger was one strong fellow. His championship effort in winning the Shot Put at the MIAC Track & Field Meet showed us that. Now we discover he is a flexible, mobile guy, too.
The Alexandria, Minn. native earned a spot on the MIAC All-Conference football team as voted on by the coaches. As an offensive lineman, Chase doesn't have many fancy stats to brag about. Instead, he simply opened holes for the HU running backs and protected the quarterbacks from opposing defenders.
It was a richly deserved honor for the junior, who, after taking a deep breath, will start practicing to defend his Shot Put title at next March's MIAC Indoor TF meet.
