You would think a fellopw who has been on the ice since mid-October might want to start spending some time outdoors. Well, Charlie Adams is getting to do that. But he is staying on his skates. The MIAC Player of the Year is still skating strong as member of the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the Southern Professional Hockey League. In six games, he has two goals and two assists. Moreover, he is a +4.
That is just a continuation of a terrific season that saw the Mahtomedi, Minn. senior finish second to teammate Brandon Zurn in points with 49 on 21 goals and a league high 28 assists.Â
Adams, who was named to an All-American team last year, earned his second straight All-MIAC honor in 2015-16. It wasn;t just his impressive final stats. It's also how and when he got on the scoresheet. Adams led the Pipers in Power Play Goals (7) and First Goals (5). he also was the top plus-minus guy at +14.Â
Although he was only here for two seasons, Charlie ranks 10th all-time in points for men pucksters with 83.Â
And he is not done scoring.
