Caroilyn Saulsberry likes to stay busy.
Busy winning events, that is.
The Minneapolis, Minn. native won two very different events at last Saturday's MIAC Track & Field Champiobnships in Collegeville. The senior blitzed the field in the 100 Hurdles, winning in 14.16 seconds, her best clocking of the season. She also leapt 37-1 3/4 to win the the Triple Jump for the second year in a row. (She also won the same event at the league's indoor meet two months earlier.) Saulsberry also joined up wtih her teammates for a fourth place finish in the 4 x 100 relay and an eight placer in the 4 x 400 race.
She currently ranks 14th in the country in D-III in the Hurdles. She will try to improve on that and the Triple Jump standing at the Last Chance Meet in LaCrosse, Wis. this weekend. If all goes well, she can cap her career with an appearance at the NCAA Meet next week.Â
It would be an appropriate end to one of the best careers in HU track/field history.
