The Men’s Soccer team continued to dominate at home this weekend with a thrilling 1-1 double overtime tie versus MIAC conference rival Saint Mary’s University.
This was due in part to the outstanding goal by Junior Oscar Campbell in the 77th minute of play.
Campbell, a Minneapolis, Minn. native, scored his second goal of season, on a corner kick assisted on by teammate Adam King. The deadlock improved the Pipers’ record to 7-4-1 overall. They are 1-3-1 in the MIAC – a win out of sixth place – the last playoff spot.
Campbell and his teammates have a big week ahead of them with two important MIAC games on tap. On Wednesday, October 12, the Pipers will travel to Northfield to face Carleton in a 4:00 p.m. game. On Saturday, October 15, they return to Paterson Field (where they are 5-1-1 this year) to face Augsburg. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
