Last weekend the HU Women’s Cross Country Team travelled to Ettrick, Wisconsin where they took home a 10th place in the Tori Neubauer Invitational (6K). Their 10th place finish was a ten place jump from last year’s 20th place finish. The great individual effort put in by Madeline Dopp played a huge role in this jump.
Dopp, a sophomore from Ogilvie, Minnesota, is having an excellent year and continues to be one of the top runners for the Pipers.
Dopp led all Piper runners Saturday finishing 54th in the 300-runner field. Her excellent time of 24:08 helped the Pipers edge out conference rival Saint Benedict, the Number 8 ranked team in the region.
In about two weeks on Saturday, October 29, Dopp and the Pipers will look to continue their great season at MIAC Championships in their own backyard at Como Golf Course in St. Paul.
