Hamline University Athletics

These past two weekends the Hamline Swim and Dive team competed in both the Hamline Invite and Roger Ahlman Invite and was able to put up some impressive times in both meets.

Sophomore Gabe Mcgee is off to an outstanding start at his new school. The Longview,Washington native conquered the field in the 100 Backstroke, was part of a relay team that finished 3rd in the 200 Medley relay, and had another third place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly races at the HU Invite.

Mcgee’s season got to off to a big splash when he took a pair of first and a third at the Macalester Pentathlon meet that opened the season. The sophomore is a transfer from Southwest Oregon Community College.

Mcgee and the Pipers will travel to Saint Peter this Saturday to compete in the Grace Goblirsch Invite where they will look to continue to improve on their impressive start to this season.
