Ethan Ross was one busy -- and productive fellow last weekend. The Sauk Centre, Minn. junior swimmer beat several Division I, II and III swimmers to finish in 10th place in the 200 Butterfly at the Jean Freeman Invitational held at the University of Minnesota's pool.Â
Ross' time of 2:01.24 bested 23 rivals and was the Piper's best individual showing of the weekend.Â
But Ethan was just warming up. He also swam the 50 Free, placing 46th in a time of 23.66 and the 100 Butterfly where his clocking of 54.31 seconds placed him 31st in a field of 94 swimmers.Â
He also took part in a pair of relays. He teamed up with Gabe Mcgee, Zach Bloom and Gregory Breheim for a 1:32.74 showing in the 200 Free. This was good for 20th in a field of 33 teams. Ethan joined Mcgee, Breheim and Hodd Gorman for a 1:42.81 effort in the 200 Medley that was good for 21st place in the 36-team field.Â
After that much work, a fellow could use a rest. Ethan will get it, too. The Piper's next meet isn't until January 13.Â
