It seems like Hamline Volleyball just wouldn't be the same without the impressive defensive presence of sophomore Megan Anderson.

As the main player for the Pipers on the back line,  Anderson dominated the three matches played last week with a whopping 61 digs. Anderson lead the team in digs all three matches, putting up a significant fight in the 3-2 loss against St. Scholastica last Tuesday, the 3-1 loss against St. Mary’s Friday, and achieving a 3-1 victory against St. Catherine’s Saturday. She also contributed seven assists and three service aces during these matches.

Her hard work in undoubtedly paying off, ranking her fifth in the MIAC with a formidable total of 390 digs, a figure even more noteworthy considering she ranks 19th in sets played (90).  Anderson is also eighth in digs per set with an average of 4.33.

The Pipers finish off their season with three home-court matches at Hutton Arena this week. They host St. Thomas Wednesday, October 25 at 7:00 pm, as well as both Macalester and Wisconsin-Superior on Saturday, October 28 at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, respectively.
