Becky Culp and Misty Bahr have been intertwined for some time. Earlier this year, Becky broke Misty's longtime record for the Discus with a 153-10 effort. She is within range of her outdoor Shot Put mark as well. For those reasons .. as well as the many All-American and All-Conference honors she has garnered over the years, Becky is the choice of the HU athletic staff to be this year's Misty Bahr recipient as the outstanding senior female athlete of the year. Misty, a 1998 HU grad, won six All-American honors, including the D-III title in the shot put. Becky has three All-American honors to her name and will compete in three field events in next week's MIAC meet -- the discus (where she ranks first), the shot put (where she ranks second) and the hammer (fourth). Who Knows? History may repeat itself 15 years later.
