It was the biggest lacrosse game of the season. Hamline found itself trailing Concordia (WI), 3-1, after seven minutes last Friday night at Klas Field. At this point, sophomore attacker Radian Lenz went to work in earnest. The Wyoming, Minn. native scored three goals in a 13-minute span as HU reversed the trend and claimed an 8-4 lead by halftime. Lenz added a goal and an assist in the second session and the Pipers moved into first place in the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference by themselves with a 15-13 victory.Â
HU is 4-0 in league games and now stand 4-4 overall.Â
Lenz is a major reason why. She stands second on the team with 12 goals, including eight in her last four games.
Lenz and her teammates will be busy this week. The Pipers host Southwestern (TX) in a non-conference game on Thursday, April 5. It's back to league action this weekend against Illinois tech on Saturday, April 7 and Concordia (Ill.) on Sunday, April 8 -- all at Klas Field where HU has never lost a game in its history (15-0).
