It didn't take long for Sarah Bobrowski to show her worth to the Hamline women's hockey team. In her second game as a Piper, Sarah scored a goal and set up two others in a 5-2 win at Wis-Superior. It was a sign of things to come. By the time she was done, the St. Paul, Minn. native scored 16 goals and recorded a D-III high 39 assists to help the Pipers to a school record 22 wins, capped by a dramatc win in the third place game of the NCAA D-III tournament.
Bobrowski, who was named to the All-American team, was also voted the 2018-19 Hamline Senior Female Athlete of the Year at the annual celebration held at Anderson Center on May 14. The daughter of assistant coach Jake Bobrowski, Sarah also set a NCAA record when she scored six goals and had three assists for nine points in a 13-5 win at Concordia February 5.
An all-around forward, Sarah finished with a remarkable +49 and was third on the team in blocked shots with 13.Â
