The smallest guy on the men's soccer field last weekend cast a very large shadow. Adam King had a big piece of the action as the HU men's soccer team jumped out to a 2-0 start with a pair of wins at Paterson Field. The 5-5 junior had a hand (or, to be precise, a foot) in the game's lone goal in a 1-0 season opening win over Wartburg on August 30. His pass to Ryan Pyle resulted in the game's lone tally. 

Two days later, he started matters against Pacific (Ore.) with a corner kick that Stefan Kinsinger promptly headed into the net for the first goal of the game. 10 minutes later, King scored to make it 2-0. It proved the gamewinning tally in a 3-1 decision. 

The four point weekend advanced King up the school's career achievement ladder. King is second all-time in assists and tied for fourth in career points. He'll get two more chances this week to add to that total. The Pipers host Northwestern (Minn.) on September 6 at Paterson Field (4:00 p.m.) and play at Wis-Platteville on September 8.
