St. John's University will be very happy to see men's soccer player Stefan Kinsinger graduate. He has given them a lot of heartache the past two seasons.
Last year, Kinsinger's goal in overtime lifted the Pipers to a first round MIAC playoff win over the Johnnies.Â
Last Saturday, Kinsinger tormented SJU again. He set up a goal by Logan Weller and then scored the insurance tally in a 2-0 win at Paterson Field that kept the Pipers' MIAC playoff hopes alive. Hamline needs a win at Gustavus Adolphus October 23 and SJU to be held to one point in games against Macalester and Carleton this week to make it. But the fact they are even this close is due, in part, to Kinsinger's hard work.Â
His goal was a team leading sixth of the season and came, appropriately enough, after he was honored with the team's other three seniors in a pregame ceremony before the final home game. HU takes a 6-6-1 overall and a 3-5-1 MIACÂ standard into the game in St. Peter.Â
