When it mattered the most last Tuesday against Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter, the ball stopped before it could get into the HU net.

Dean Isaacson made sure of that.

The St. Paul, Minn.  native recorded a career high 15 saves in Hamline's 1-0 win. Isaacson had a dozen of those stops in the second half as the Pipers dealt the Gusties their first conference loss of the season. The win lifted Hamline into sixth place and has earned them a third trip in four years to the MIAC playoffs.

Hamline finished the regular season with a 7-6-1 overall record and a 4-5-1 MIAC mark. Isaacson has appeared in 14 games. He has allowed 14 goals in 1197:02 of action for a goals-against mark of 1.05. He is second in the league in saves with 76. His shutout in St. Peter was the 17th of his HU career.

Isaacson and his mates will take a trip down Snelling Ave. on Tuesday, October 30 to face third seed Macalester. Game time is 2:00 p.m. If the Pipers win, they return to St. Peter the next afternoon, also at 2:00 p.m.
