Michael Dillon certainly knew what to do to create a big first impression on the 2018-19 MIAC men's basketball season. The sophomore rifled in nine three-pointers to help the Pipers claim victories over Gustavus Adolphus 979-62) and Concordia (78-68) and get off to a 2-0 start in conference play for the first time since the 2007-08 season.

The Colorado native came off the bench and unloaded six long range missiles as part of a career best 18 points against the Gusties in 25 minutes of playing time. (His previous high had been five points.) He added three more against the Cobbers. The outburst doubled his points per game average to 6.7.

Dillon and the Pipers (4-2 overall) take their shooting expertise on the road this week for games at Augsburg (December 5, 7:00 p.m.) and St. John's (December 8, 3:00 p.m.).
