Going up against D-I and D-II competitors in a meet in faraway Rhode Island didn't faze Hamline senior gymnast Meghan Webb.Â
The New Yorker helped the Pipers to a season high 188.425 points with a second place finish on the Balance Beam and a sixth place standing in the Floor Exercise.Â
Hamline finished in third place, behind D-I host Brown University and D-II competitor Bridgeport. The Pipers finished ahead of D-III school Rhode Island.Â
Webb scored 9.750 on the Balance Beam, finishing less than a point from the top spot and ahead of her D-I foes. That score is tied for the best by any WIACer in this event in 2019. On the Floor, she scored 9.675, which ties her with teammate Darby Sklater for second best in this event this season. Â
Meghan also competed on the Vault at Brown, placing 15th with a 9.450 tally.Â
Webb and the Pipers head to Menominee, Wis. on Friday, February 1 to take on Wis-Stout and Wis-Eau Claire. The meet begins at 6:00 p.m.
