When you are playing No. 1 singles in tennis, you know you are going to draw your opponent's best every time. So far, Jake Trondson has risen to that challenge quite nicely.

The junior won all five matches he played last week to stretch his current singles streak to six in a row. Jake is 11-2 overall on the season and is one of the reasons Hamline is contending to finish a men's tennis season over .500 for the first time in over a decade. The Pipers are 7-7 overall heading into a MIAC match at St. Mary's April 5.

Trondson and doubles partner Tou Ger Xiong are also proving to be formidable foes at No. 1. The pair have won theit last six outings in a row and stand 7-1 on the season.

Winning begets winning.
