In many ways, last Saturday was a typical day at the office for HU senior lacrosse forward Lexus Tatge. The Faribault, Minn. native scored twice and an assisted on a third tally as the Pipers defeated Concordia )WI), 18-6, to wrap up an undefeated MWLC season and a 16-1 regular season mark.Â
Here, however, is some that is not typical: With her three point day, Tatge, who scored three and assisted on one in a win over Marian the day before, became the first Piper ever to go over the 200 point mark for a career. Lexus has 123 and 78 assists in her four year, 72 game career here.Â
Lexus has been with the program from the start. She led the team in 2018 with 43 goals and 29 assists. This year, she is one of five players with 30 goals or more as HU prepares to face Augsburg on May 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Klas Field in a MWLC semifinal game. A win there would elevate the Pipers to Saturday's 6:00 p.m.championship game at Klas. The Pipers have won the last two title games, which brings with it an automatic berth to the NCAA D-III tournament.Â
Which would be a fitting end ot a career for a person who has been a big part of it all from day one.
