In volleyball, a team needs someone that can give so others can receive and act accordingly. For Hamline, the main giver is junior Megan Rubbelke.

The North St. Paul, Minn. native delivered 154 assists as the Pipers went 2-2 last week. Her biggest effort was a career high 61 assist effort in a thrilling 3-2 win over Wis-Superior in a tournament in River Falls, Wis.

It was the fourth best effort in school history and the biggest effort in 13 years.

Megan ranks fourth in the MIAC at 9.97 assists per set. She needs just 13 assists Wednesday at St. Mary's to become the eighth player in school history to pass the career mark of 1500. The Pipers (7-3 overall) are also busy this weekend with a home non-con against Crown on September 20 and a visit to Northwestern the next afternoon.
