Ashlee Olson is back on the women's soccer field again. And that turned out to be very bad news for Northwestern last Wednesday.Â
The junior forward scored two second half goals in the Pipers' 4-2 win over the Eagles last Wednesday at Paterson Field and now is tied with teammate Siri Parker for the team lead with four markers.Â
The Pipers had spent a fruitless first half against UNW attempting to battle a stiff wind. When the second half began, the win was now at Hamline's back and that was all the team -- and Olson -- needed. After Ciara Gregory tied the game early in the second session, Olson positioned herself perfectly to redirect a Jenna Sampson corner kick for the goal that gave HU the lead for good.Â
Later, she unleashed a rocket from the left side for the fourth goal to ensure the triumph.
Hamline, now 4-5 overall, hosts Carleton on Wednesday, October 2 at Paterson at 4:00 p.m. On Sunday, October 6, HU heads north to face Concordia in Moorhead.Â
