As a member of the Piper volleyball and basketball teams, Morgen Coleman knows her way around the Hutton Arena floor. Last week, it appeared to many she covered nearly inch of it at one time or another.Â
Last Wednesday, the senior played a big role as the HU volleyballers shook off a first set loss to defeat Concordia, 3-1, and earn their first win over a CC volleyball contingent since 1992. Morgen was up front with nine kills. She kept plays alive with 20 digs and she served seven aces (tied for fifth best in school history).Â
On Saturday, the North Branch, Minn. native shone again with nine kills and 18 digs as Hamline opened with a wild 33-31 first set win but eventually fell to Gustavus Adolphus, 33-31. The Pipers are now 11-6 overall, 2-2 in the MIAC.
HU plays at Augsburg on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and then gets back on the Hutton floor against St. Scholastica on Friday, Oct. 11. Both matches begin at 7:00 p.m.
