Steph Kaup was certainly reado to hit the court as the Pipers played their first two MIAC matches of the season. The junior middle blocker was a presence all night in a 3-1 loss to Concordia. Her 17 kills was a career high and she hit an excellent .452 on the night. When HU won the second game., it marked their first triumph of any sort against the Cobbers in 10 years. Steph also had a big hand in the 3-0 sweep of St. Olaf last Saturday at Hutton Arena. She hit .312 and had just one error on the day. In addition, she kept the Oles at bay with a team high 4 BAs. She leads the Pipers in that category for the season with 28. Hamline is at Gustavus and Augsburg this week.
