Tim Bona was a man on the move last Saturday against St. Olaf in Northfield. The sophomore QB ran passed for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns and rushed for a game high 96 yards in the Pipers' 31-28 victory -- their first MIAC triumph of the season.

The Columbia Heights, MN native connected with Naji El-Araby for an 83-yard score in the second quarter -- the longest Hamline offensive play in 11 seasons. Later, he zigged and zagged for 43 yards on a scramble that set up a Forrest Coughlin field goal that proved to be final difference in the game.

Bona has now accounted for nearly 1,000 yards total offense this year (715 passing, 227 rushing). In addition, he is averaging 32.5 yards per punt -- a true triple threat.
