It would be hard to be better than Derrick was last week. The goalie stopped all shots headed his way as the Piper men's soccer team scored a pair of big wins -- a school record 11-0 win over Presentation and then a 1-0 thriller over Bethel. 

Derrick recorded three saves against the Saints but had to come up with seven -- several of them spectacular -- to preserve the win over the Royals. He has allowed just six goals all season and has lowered his GAA to an impressive 1.04.

The Piper men's soccer contingent has surpassed its 2013 totals with five wins on the season. They host St. Mary's Wednesday and finish the season at Gustavus Saturday.
