The Bloomington, Minnesota native made two appearances over seven games last week. He allowed just one hit, walked no batters, and notched four strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings in relief in a 13-3 victory over St. Olaf on April 11. Smallfield registered a four-inning save in a 7-5 decision over Saint John's on April 12, which included just one walk and one hit.
