Junior wide receiver Dawson Schaffer caught a single-game school record five touchdown passes from 66, 33, eight, eight, and 94 yards out for the Hamline University football team in their 35-14 victory at Crown on September 7. Schaffer, who transferred to Hamline prior to 2024 from MIAC foe Concordia (Minn.), finished the contest with nine receptions for 272 yards and five touchdowns. His 272 yards receiving were just two shy of Nick Barber's record of 274 set at St. Olaf on October 7, 2017.
