Juan Bertaud registered three interceptions for 36 yards, as well as four tackles in the Pipers' 24-14 loss to Carleton on September 28. Two of those interceptions occurred in the fourth quarter, which gave Hamline opportunities to come back and take the lead. His first pick of the contest was Hamline's third defensive play of the contest. Bertaud's stellar performance landed him September 30 MIAC Football Defensive Player of the Week.
