Erika Moede is making quite the name for herself off the HU women's basketball bench. The Burnsville, MN native, who played her prep ball at Lakeville North, poured in a career high 23 points in the Pipers' loss at Concordia December 14.
It was the second time this season Moede had come off the bench to score in double digits. (She threw in 10 at Gustavus in the conference opener December 4.)Â
At Concordia, Moede was deadly from the free throw line, hitting 11 of 15 attempts. Her 20 successful shots (and 30 overall) rank second on t he team in that department. Overall, she is fourth on the team with an 8.0 ppg.
Moede and her teammates are off until December 30 when they meet Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Pasadena, CA. They will face Cal Tech on New Year's Eve and return to MIAC action January 4 against Macalester at Hutton Arena. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
