Walker Fieldhouse
The Lloyd W.D. Walker Field House opened in 1998 and houses three basketball courts, the Clarence Nelson Fitness Center, the Athletic Training Room, three racquetball courts, the gymnastics gym, and the "chute" area where batting cages and weights are located for athletes to use. In addition, the building holds offices for various members of the athletic department staff.
As well as being used for athletic practices, the Field House is also used by Hamline's intramural program.
Hamline University Trustee and 1951 alumnus Gordon Walker donated $5 million to the building, which would help finance the $8.5 million project. The building was named in honor of Gordon's father who graduated from Hamline in 1929.Â
