The HU men's hockey team found a three-goal deficit a bit too much to handle. Tyler Johnson and Zach Johnson (no relation) had late goals but Bethel held on for a 4-2 win Fridat night at National Sports Center in Blaine.

Nick Heimer had 22 saves in goal for HU, which fell to 0-9-2 overall, 0-5 in the MIAC.

The Royals led, 2-0 after a period and pushed it to 3-0 when Tyler Johnson got the Pipers on the board with his third goal of the season at 18:07 of the middle frame. BU struck back midway in the third only to see Zach Johnson reply with his third of the year at 19:17.

The teams meet in Vadnais Heights Saturday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m.
