The Piper men's hockey team unloaded 37 shots on goal against Concordia Sunday. Unfortunately, it was the Cobbers who found the back of the net more.
A slow start did in HU in a 6-1 loss at Fogerty Arena in the MIAC Hockey Showcase Sunday. Despite a 13-8 edge in shots in the initial frame, the Pipers found themselves down, 4-0, at intermission.
CC added two in the second period before Tyler Gonzales (pictured) connected on a power play at 5:27 of the third frame.
Karel Popper started in goal for HU (0-2) but was relieved by Nick Heimer at the start of the second period. Brandon Zurn led the Piper shooters with eight shots on goal.
Hamline will now look to Wisconsin to garner their first win of the season. They play at UW-Stout on Friday, November 8 and then travel to UW-River Falls the next night.
