Box Score Jordan Sammons andÂ
Chloe Graves (pictured) combined for 32 points but it wasn't enough to overcome a huge free throw disparity in Hamline's 75-52 women's basketball loss to Gustavus Adolphus Wednesday night at Hutton Arena.Â
Sammons, who was named MIAC Women's BB AOW earlier in the week, recorded her 10th double double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds and Graves added 13 points (including three three pointers). The junior also tied a career best with a game high six steals.Â
But the Gusties, who sank 23 charity tosses in 34 tries compared to the Pipers' 6-10 night, took charge of the game late in the first half to improve to 8-7 overall.Â
The Pipers handled themselves well on the boards against the taller Gusties, finishing with 38. In addition to Sammons' solid night,Â
Rachel Usgaard grabbed nine rebounds andÂ
Emily Behrman snared seven.Â
The Pipers host Carleton Saturday at Hutton Arena. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
