Box Score As the Hamline women's basketball season goes on, new shooters continue to emerge. On Wednesday, it was
Chelsey Bonsante who gunned in 15 points in the Pipers' 62-54 loss at Augsburg Wednesday.
Jordan Sammons had a double-double (11 rebounds, 10 points) and added five steals to back up Bonsante. The junior guard is inching closer to the 1,000 point mark. She now has 950 in 61 career games.
But the Auggies hit six three-pointers in the first half to grab a 10 point lead and refused to let HU get back in the game in the second half.
Augsburg also used 23 trips to the free throw line to Hamline's seven to end a two-game winning streak.
Bonsante and
Emily Behrman had a pair of three pointers apiece for HU, now 2-8 on the season (1-6 MIAC). The Pipers, who have played just three home games all season, are at Bethel on Saturday, January 11 for a 1:00 p.m. game. After that, they get to play five in a row at Hutton Arena.
