Box Score The Hamline women's basketball team unloaded a season high dozen three -point baskets and rolled to a 77-59 victory at St. Olaf Saturday afternoon. Four of the five Piper starters scored in double digits as the Pipers evened their MIAC mark at 3-3 and upped their overall standard to 8-5.

Chelsey Bonsante (23) was a threat all day, leading the solid Piper attack with 20 points. The sophomore, who entered the day ranked third in the MIAC in scoring, recorded a dozen in the first half as the Pipers bolted to a 32-18 intermission lead. Jordan Sammons was in foul trouble early, scoring just two points in seven minutes in the first session. The league's leading scorer made up for it in the second half, gunning in a pair of three-pointers to tie Bonsante for scoring honors with 20 points. That upped her career total to 1,597 -- just 61 shy of passing Mark Wilkowski, Hamline's all-time leading women's basketball scorer.

Chloe Graves had three long distance connections to pour in 17 points and Emily Behrman pitched in with her second double digit effort of the year, adding 10 points.

HU had another outstanding defensive effort, holding the Oles to just 34 per cent shooting for the day. The Pipers took that halftime edge and widened it quickly, leading by as many as 35 points in the second half. One of the reasons for that -- a 49-37 edge in rebounds. Sammons led the way there with nine with Bonsante tying her career high with eight. Behrman and Alex Peterson had seven apiece.

The Pipers head back to Northfield next Wednesday, January 14 to face Carleton. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
