Box Score Chloe Graves poured in 23 points and Hamline's women's basketball fought from behind to force overtime. But North Central pulled away in the extra session and dealt the Pipers a 70-64 setback in Minneapolis Friday night.
HU grabbed an early lead, holding a 12-9 lead after one quarter and 27-26 at intermission. The Rams grabbed a 45-40 after the third quarter but the Pipers fought back to tie the game at 59 and force overtime.
Graves, a junior, nailed four three-pointers.Â
Chelsey Bonsante added 15 points and swiped four steals.Â
Allison Bartak led the board battle with seven rebounds.Â
Emily Behrman chipped in with five assists.
Hamline fell to 0-2 on the season. They get right back into the fray Saturday with a game at Northwestern in Roseville. Game time is 5:00 p.m.
