Box Score Overtime has not been kind to the Hamline women's basketball team. The Pipers lost their third extra session game of the season, 58-56, at Carleton Wednesday. Chloe Graves scored 15 points (with a game high four steals) and a pair of Pipers -- Chelsey Bonsante (who also had a team high five assists) and Tia Diggins -- added 13 markers apiece.

Tied at 48 after 40 minutes, Bonsante gave Hamline its first lead since halftime with a three-pointer that made it 51-48. The hometown Knights eventually gained a 53-52 advantage but Diggins, whose last-minute forced the overtime, replied with a hoop that made it 54-53 with 3:15 left. Carleton made a three-pointer for a 56-54 advantage. Graves canceled that edge by draining a pair of free throws with 31 seconds left in OT. Michele Arima's basket with 7.7 seconds remaining proved to be the winning points as Hamline fell to 3-11 overall, 1-6 in the MIAC.

HU held a slight edge in shooting percentage (37-35 per cent). Mariah Ortega-Flowers corralled a career high six rebounds but the Knights held the overall edge on the boards by a 41-25 margin.

Hamline stays on the road Saturday, January 16 when they play at Bethel (8-6, 4-3 MIAC). Game time is 3:00 p.m.
