Box Score Brede Postier is picking up where she left off last season. The sophomore scored twice to help the Hamline women's hockey team to a two goal lead in the second period but Concordia (WI) rallied for three late goals int he same period and took a 4-3 decision at Oscar Johnson Arena Saturday.
Postier opened the scoring on a feed from
Dani Wright just 2:36 into the game. Concordia evened matters 70 seconds later and it stayed tied until Postier broke free for an unassisted goal early in the second period.
Bre Simon then netted her third goal in two days to make it 3-1 and the Pipers looked to be in good shape. The Falcons, however, rallied for three goals in a span of less than three minutes to take the lead at 4-3 and hang on from there.
Mari Johnson had 16 saves in goal for Hamline in her college debut.
HU, now 1-1 on the season, travels to Wis-Eau Claire on Friday, November 4 for a non-conference game. The Pipers open league play the next weekend against St. Olaf.
