Box Score Brandon Reinholz provided the offense for the HU men's hockey team in a 3-1 loss to St. Mary's in Winona Friday. The junior finished off a three-way passing play to give the Pipers a 1-0 lead midway through the first period. It was his fifth goal of the season. 

The Cardinals retaliated with two second period tallies and one more in the third to drop the Pipers back to .500 on the season at 7-7-1 overall and 4-4-1 in MIAC play. The latter number has them alone in fifth place -- the final playoff position. 

Justin Quale recorded 25 saves -- 12 in the first period alone -- in goal. Mitch Hall led Hamline's 22 shot attack with four. 

The teams have a rematch on Saturday, January 21 at Oscar Johnson Arena. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
