Box Score The HU women's basketball team put as good a clamp as anybody has all season on league leader St. Thomas. The Pipers held the undefeated Tommies to their lowest point total of the season in a 61-38 loss at Anderson Center on the UST campus Wednesday.
Alaina Quaranta tied for the top scorer in the game with 12 points.
Chloe Graves added 10 and
Reilly Geistfeld was the top rebounder on the floor with 13.
The Pipers went stride for stride with the Tommies in the early going, trailing 16-13 after a quarter. UST did some clamping of their own in the second period, holding Hamline to just six points in the session for a 32-19 halftime edge.
Hamline collected more three-pointers than UST (4-3) and also led in Steals by a 7-3 margin but fell to 5-17 overall, 2-13 in the MIAC. The nationally ranked Tommies are 22-0 overall and 15-0 in conference play.
HU plays its last road game of the season Saturday at Concordia in Moorhead, Minn. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
