Box Score Reilly Geistfeld scored 10 points to lead the offense for the Hamline women's basketball team in a 68-34 loss at St. Thomas Saturday.
Molly Wampler added nine points, including a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line for HU, now 4-15 overall, 3-9 in the MIAC. Wampler, a freshman, is 51-for-55 from the line, a stunning .927 shooting percentage. That leads the MIAC by nearly 10 percentage points and could be among the top five totals in the country when the new D-III statistics are released next week.
Down 15-6 after a quarter, HU scored the first six points of the second quarter to get within three at 15-12. UST, however, pushed the advantage to 34-19 by halftime and kept on to improve to 12-0 in conference play and 17-2 overall. In addition to her 10 points, Geistfeld had six rebounds.
Violet Kennedy (30) was the top HU rebounder with seven.
Morgen Coleman and
Alaina Quaranta had three steals each and Kennedy added a pair.
HU gets back in action Wednesday, January 31 at Augsburg. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
