Box Score Alaina Quaranta scored a game high 14 points for the HU women's basketball team in a season-ending 57-46 loss at St. Mary's Saturday. It was the 12th time this season the junior, who finished the 2017-18 season with a team high 11.8 points per game average, led HU in scoring for a game. She also had a game high four steals.
Morgen Coleman added eight points and a team high seven rebounds with
Reilly Geistfeld contributing six points and five boards.
Molly Wampler capped her freshman season with four assists. Wampler, who leads all D-III free throw shooters with a .936 percentage (73-78) did not get to the line for a chance to advance those numbers.
The Pipers had a good start. The game was even at 11 after a quarter. SMU, however, held a 17-8 edge in the second 10 minutes of play for a 28-19 halftime bulge. HU could get no closer than seven points the rest of the way.
